About the Role

We're looking for a Backend Engineer passionate about API development, external service integration, and database management. In this role, you'll collaborate with our team to implement solutions that connect our application's frontend with third-party services and efficiently handle platform data.

Responsibilities

  • Implement integrations with third-party APIs such as GitHub, Jira, Linear, and Slack
  • Design and develop internal APIs for Bugster's Web App frontend to consume and handle data
  • Manage relational and non-relational databases, ensuring performance and scalability
  • Collaborate with the team to solve technical problems and optimize backend processes

Required Skills

  • Experience in Python (preferably with frameworks like FastAPI or Flask)
  • Knowledge of RESTful or GraphQL API integration
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB)
  • Knowledge of API design and development

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with services like GitHub, Jira, Linear, or Slack
  • Basic experience with Docker and containerization concepts
  • Knowledge of TypeScript and frontend development (as a plus)
  • Familiarity with event-driven systems and distributed architectures
  • Interest in learning about test automation and related tools
